The Ukrainian House in the heart of Wrocław. The place will give shelter to 200 children and women who escaped from the hell of the war in Ukraine. This is how the NOTICE ME Foundation (Fundacja ZOBACZ MNIE) helps refugees from Ukraine.

LET'S MAKE A HOME FOR REFUGEES!
The Ukrainian House is being prepared in Wrocław at Ofiar Oświęcimskich Street. The building in which it will be located for many years functioned as offices. Private owners: Aleksandra and Paweł Marchewka, Mr. Łukasz Jaworski and the Kowalczykowski Brothers decided to hand over the building to the NOTICE ME Foundation till the end of this year, so that we could create a Ukrainian House there. It will not only be a stop on the refugee’s way to a better life, but also a substitute for the homeland.
Huge costs - high hopes
Today the place is a regular construction site - several dozen people work there 24 hours a day. Bathrooms and kitchens are being created from 0, while beds, mattresses and desks are being brought in. The most important thing is to carefully plan what should be there and where. On the ground floor – a dining room. On the floors above - cozy family rooms and shared lounges. There will also be classrooms in which Ukrainian teachers will work with children, namely - a real school. And when the need arises, a kindergarten for younger children will also be established there.
The challenge is huge. The present renovation and the annual maintenance costs for the entire building, food and daily shopping expenses are enormous while the list of needs seems to have no end. We kindly ask for your help and support.

Let's keep children safe
The first group to find shelter in the Ukrainian House are the young footballers from Ukraine. Sixty-seven boys from Kiev came with their coaches to a football tournament, crossing the Polish-Ukrainian border an hour before the outbreak of the war. The children could not be sent back to their homeland bombed by Russia, so the NOTICE ME Foundation (Fundacja ZOBACZ MNIE) took care of them three days after the attack. Most of the boys were later joined by their mothers, grandmothers and siblings. They all found a safe shelter in two locations near Wrocław, i.e. Zamek Topacz hotel and the Audiofon company premises.
We want children from Ukraine to regain their sense of security, which is why we provide them with psychological and pedagogical care. We also organize sports activities, football trainings, educational workshops and many other activities to simply cheer our little pupils up.
In the Ukrainian Refugee House, refugees will be able to feel safe. We believe that here, in this little Ukraine in the hospitable heart of Wrocław, they will find a place where they will boldly start taking their first steps in their new reality.
